The 2024 Middle Tennessee Quantum & AI Consortium Meeting, jointly hosted by MTSU, TSU, and Fiks universities, is dedicated to cultivating a diverse and inclusive quantum community among researchers and educators in the Middle Tennessee area. This conference aims to promote collaboration and expertise in the fields of quantum materials, quantum computing, quantum engineering, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence. Through these efforts, it strives to contribute to the establishment of a sustainable and diverse Middle Tennessee Quantum & AI Hub. The meeting provides a forum for particpants to:
- Strengthen collaboration and networking among experts;
- Facilitate the exchange of cutting-edge research and training opportunities in emerging technologies: quantum, AI, advanced materials;
- Promote broader participation across the quantum and AI communities;
- Enhance diversity and accessibility in quantum-related fields;
- Discuss recent advances in curriculum development and education in emerging technologies
Venue
The meeting venue is Tennessee State University, located in Nashville, Tennessee. The format of the conference is both in-person and remote (via Zoom).

Agenda
The meeting will feature presentations from the research and educational groups of participating institutions, external speakers, and interactive discussions. The focus of the conference will center on the R&D and opportunities of emerging novel technologies, including Quantum Information Science and Engineering (QISE), artificial intelligence, advancements in material research, cybersecurity and communication. Our primary goal is to foster collaboration and partnerships among participating institutions, identify opportunities for collaboration, raise awareness of existing programs, and encourage meaningful participant engagement.
